Hi Shawn,
Gratz on loosing the "Missy Ward" style wig.

I have to admit that in my early days I'd add my URL at the bottom of my blog comments till I was given a lesson by some of the more established bloggers out there.

Understanding the conventions of social media and following the "rules" are part of the game, such as using tasteful avatars, etc.

The signature accompanying the comment on your blog, was going into some serious scammy territory, and left a bad taste in my mouth, which I guess could be one of the litmus tests for "Publish or not?".

Hey Andrew -

Thanks for the note about that comment - I had mixed feelings about letting it go through - it was a "real" comment in that it was a logical comment to the post.

But then the guy goes and adds a three line sig with it.

I use Disqus and it doesn't enable me to edit comments left by others. If it did, I would have knocked out the spam and left the good stuff.
