Posted by Andrew Wee in : podcasts , trackback

potpiegirlThis week on the Friday Podcast, I invited PotPieGirl to talking about generating traffic using free methods.

I’d seen her twitter exchanges with Miles Baker and found that she’s pretty proficient in building sites on Squidoo (the social networking site founded by marketer and author Seth Godin) and generate affiliate marketing income from her efforts.

During the course of our discussion, I found out:

I listened to Andrew and Jennifer’s podcast and I can back up everything she said 100%. I am proud to say that I am a personal friend of Jennifer and her husband and I watched her start out knowing absolutely nothing about computers, much less the internet. I have chatted with her late into the night when she was finishing up 16-18 hour days working and she has a lot to show for it now. If you need an inspiration to get into online marketing, just listen to her and do what she says. She really knows her stuff.

Wow, awesome interview! To be honest, I generally don’t give “piggyback SEO” methods the credit that I think they deserve sometimes, as evidenced by the way you’ve pounded some pretty serious profits out of Squidoo. Thanks!

I have to say that Jennifer(a.k.a potpiegirl) is a truly special person in the IM world.She has actaully has helped me personally with squidoo and how many bigtime inrternet gurus would do that.Alot of online marketers say they want to help you succeed but most are just saying that to gain your trust,Jenifer really means it.She is a true and honest person,something very rare in the IM marketing world!

I’m a huge PotPieGirl fan. It’s still less than 6 months that I have been trying to make money online. This interview couldn’t have come at a better time for to not give up.

Thank you, Andrew!

When you work 16 to 18 hours a day just to scrape by, people with a
little gumption will always try to find a better way to live. And PPG is
one of those people. Your are an inspiration to all of us, and that what I
am doing now. Taking that leap of faith to get out of the mess we are in.
Good interview but sometimes too low to hear. BUT good enough.
Bless you

@RC –

THANK YOU! Compliments are great, but when they are from someone who knows you beyond this crazy business, it means SO much more!

@Chris –
For many of us new marketers, sites like Squidoo are an excellent opportunity to START our online businesses. For those that already have their own sites, utilizing Squidoo as a “piggy back SEO method” can be very powerful to increase search engine exposure.

All in all, Squidoo is a win/win for anyone with any sort of online business (as long as it doesn’t violate Squidoo’s TOS).

@Joe -
THANK YOU for your very kind words!

@Cate –
Thanks, sweetie! Guess I am going to have to learn how to speak louder….lol!

@Sheryl –
DON’T give up! Keep your chin up, your nose to the grindstone…and keep moving forward. You can do it!

@Clarence -
I agree – at some point we realize that if we want change in our lives, it will be up to each of us to MAKE that change happen.

For me, I one day realized that I could let things continue to “snowball” towards worse, or I could make the effort to stop the current direction and instead, get things to start snowballing towards BETTER.

Thank you all for stopping by, listening, and leaving your comments!

Jennifer

I am one of those newbie’s potpiegirl was talking about. I have been studing, researching and trying to figure out where to start. I found her on line recently and been reading her stuff ever since. This was a great interview Andrew. It has some very insightful tips and is very inspiring. As Jennifer says “just do it”. Thank you Andrew and Jennifer. Becky

I have to say getting into Internet Marketing late in life has been so much easier since I met Jennifer. There probably isn’t a day that I don’t go into http://www.PotPieGirl.com to look for help on something.

This interview was wonderful! If you are looking for someone who is real, knowledgeable and the most warm hearted person around you need to use the resources Jennifer puts out. They are simply the best …don’t waste your time with anything else.

I am truly inspired by what she has accomplished and admire all she does. Get to know her….you will too!

I just met Jennifer recently and I identify myself with her a lot. I’m a newbie, but I must say I’ve been learning a lot from this PotPieGirl. And I’m also determined to be successful and start earning some money online. I also don’t want to get rich, but I want to show my husband I can earn money online.

Thank you PotPieGirl! I love you.

God bless

Thank you for sharing your story. I am still at the read everything I can stage. But I’m slowly understanding and putting it together.

Is it about making money on the Internet an which old way – or could we combine it with doing some good and changing the world at the same time?
