Hi guys, I’ve been using aweber for a while and I must agree, it’s a great product for autoresponders. My list has grown to over 4k in a little over a month. In that time I’ve sent over 20,000 emails. Imagine doing that manually!!

One question. The sender address that appears on my autoresponders is configured as [listname]@aweber.com. Does anyone know how I can change this?

Note: the from address is configured fine.

Great post. I think aweber is the #1 choice for autoresponders, followed straight away by getresponse. Both offer a great service and in the long run it will pay off to their professional autoresponder service.

While there was a “dust up” last year about which had better deliverability, Aweber seems to have a much higher delivery rate than GetResponse. I have found Aweber also to be consistently better with customer service and features. (My previous business had about 60K double opt-in subs at Aweber so I have pretty detailed experience.)

1ShoppingCart does a good job with many tasks, but IMHO broadcast email management is still done better with Aweber I have several clients who use 1SC to manage their affiliate and ad tracking, initial autoresponders, etc. but manage their bulk lists through Aweber.

If you’re looking for standalone autoresponders, I’d look at aweber and getresponse which are the leaders in the field.
My personal preference is aweber.

I’m not familiar with kickstartcart…
For all-in-one solutions, I’d also consider 1ShoppingCart, which also has an affiliate management module, in addition to autoresponders, shopping carts, etc.

Why not also look at the open source zen shopping cart?

The “problem” or challenge I see with something with all-in-ones is that although it’s integrated, none of the pieces will be truly spectacular, compared to someone who’s only focused on that segment.

the autoresponder-only companies have a reputation for proactively working with the big email providers – AOL, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail to ensure email deliverability.

Just now learning about Aweber and have constant contact right now. I am not very happy with Constant contact. I have been recommended to kickstartcart. Does aweber incorporate a shopping cart? Thanks for this podcast very informative.

aweber is great, and i have recommended it to many businesses. what i love about aweber (unlike constant contact) is that each list has its own unique capture form to put on any site. kind of LAME that CC only comes with one per account. i have to run but i’m going to listen to this tomorrow for sure. thanks andrew!

I can’t believe how few bloggers are using email marketing as part of their arsenal. Every new email subscriber I get earns me over $23 the first year (I know others make more, but I don’t work that hard!)

Great cast.
