Friday Podcast: 3 CPA Niches Going Gangbusters In January 2008 January 11, 2008

Breaking with the format you’ve been used to, on this week’s edition of the Friday Podcast, I had a guest, NeverBlueAds Lead Affiliate Representative, Samantha Brachat, who shared three niches super affiliate marketers should be taking a lot at, especially with the element of seasonality playing into them.
Sam covers topics like:
- How to select which affiliate/CPA offer to promote, especially if there might be 10 or 15 in the same vertical
- Demographic and conversion data for the offers she mentions on the call
- How to get great value of the your relationship with your affiliate manager
If you’re new or already working with a CPA/affiliate network, you’ll pick up great tips from this episode.

Thanks Andrew for this podcast. It’s nice to hear someone speaking from the affiliate network/manager side of the business. And thanks for this blog. I found it after discovering Amit’s blog a few days ago and I’m really enjoying going through your old posts.

I don’t recommend the NeverblueAds affiliate program. Unless someone signs up for something, you don’t earn anything. I started out very keen on it and saw very little return over time.
Hi Len,
There’s a couple of NBA affiliate progs out there.
I’m promoting the 2% commission one.
You’re right that it won’t generate much, unless you are using a targeted marketing campaign to recruit the right type of affiliates.
I’m doing pretty well with it, maybe as a result of using a different marketing approach.
That’s true, if your user doesn’t perform the required action, you don’t get paid anything. A network like this is for people who know what they are doing and who they are targeting. The definition of CPA = Cost Per Action and Neverblue Ads is a CPA network.
Since you use the name “Anonymous”, you’re either someone who works for Neverblue Ads or someone who won’t let us see how much you profess to know about “what they are doing and who they are targeting.”
It only works if your site is targeted at a very very specific group. And that group has to have some type of purchasing power in most cases. There are actually affiliate marketers that earn in excess of $5k per month using the CPA model.
That was a good podcast/show.
Plus Samantha is a super HAWT girl.. That extra bit was written in a Canadian accent so she could understand it. Eskimos need love too ya know.
