Great to hear that things have turned around at your company.

Too many people are focused on looking at the next “how” whether it’s buying that new blackhat Adsense template, or buying that new course/book/seminar…

The bane of the Internet is that ‘instant’, ‘automatic’, ‘cash windfalls’ have become standard fare in any sales copy.

But then again, if stuff said ‘hundreds of hours of effort required’, I’d doubt that it’d be very compelling.

How to foster hunger?
Do what Microsoft does.
Sack the bottom 10% of underproducers every quarter!

When sharks are in the water, everyone swims a little faster.

When I first took over marketing at my company, we were in a serious bind. Losing money, down millions, and lots of problems (due to the old marketing regime and their “branding”). Times where rough. Within two years we went from almost going out of business to buying buildings, planes, and tripling our staff to handle all the business. We are now a multiBILLION dollars company.

We did this because we HAD to. People are capable of amazing things when their backs are against the wall. Now that we are big dawgs in our industry, I am working on reinforcing the HUNGER and the reasons for it. I’ll be sharing this post with my team, as it will certainly help reinforce the vision I want to instill in my future leaders.
