Yeah.. things like that happen sometimes, And what can you do - this is life, and you learn this way.

For PPC, not to get into a deep hole, your campaigns have to be very, very targeted and relevant. If promoting specific products, link as deep as you can (people search for a pink Dell laptop - link to it, not to just Dells!). If promoting your landing page and don`t want to lose money, before doing PPC, I would say you need to test it on forums, articles traffic, etc. Although this will take time, and this is why most marketers choose PPC exactly for this reason - to test the conversions.

So here I am reading ...."Kept a YSM campaign going"... Alert bells went off, and after a few oh shit! moments, I logged into YSM and paused my campaigns.

Cheers

This is right in affiliate marketing and for almost everything you do. You learn with your mistakes.

As for PPC, it's painful for a lot of people when you start and see all these clicks with no sales.

Hi Andrew,
I explored affiliate marketing previously and am just getting back into it.

Thanks for this post, it was very helpful.

For quality traffic generation...

do you typically rely on PPC, media buys or something else?

Do you usually drive this traffic to a landing page or directly to the offer?

Also what kind of work do you outsource for traffic generation?

I know everything is probably dependent on a bunch of different factors, but if you have any general experience or insights you can share that would be great!
