I should check this plugin out. Normally I would just backup the whole sql file. But one problem with that is if you upgrade your wp blog it could get rather hairy.

What about resintalling the backup? How, once blog is lost, do you use this backup?

You probably meant to direct readers to http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Although after looking at how you have to get into the guts of your hosting account, playing around with the mySQL and phpMyAdmin panel, it’s very much in the vein of doing things the hard way.

Why not install the plugin and do things the easy way?

Especially when you can schedule backups?

you can also… go to your http://(yourdomain).com/cpanel to do a backup.. which does a full server backup for all your websites in your server =)
