Launch of Laura Alter’s Blog April 19, 2007

Posted by Andrew Wee in : blogging , trackback

I first got to know of Laura Alter from PlanetAndrea (aka Andrea Schoemaker).

Laura attended the inaugural Elite Retreat and has been very successful in her brick-and-mortar computer business and is also owner of the popular NotebookForums site too.

Besides having 3 sweet kids (her 5 year old plays a mean game of warcraft), she’s pretty tech savvy.

Check out her blog:

Laura’s got one of the prettiest WordPress templates I’ve seen and Matt Brett (a fellow 9rules member) did a great job on it.

Hey Laura,
I look forward to checking out your blog.

Perhaps you might do a case study of your PCTorque.com experience.

I’m sure lots of people (present company included) would be interested.

Welcome! How did you guys like the Elite Retreat? I notice that from the pictures that many of the participants are actually known in the marketing scene. Was it more for getting to know other marketers or a learning experience for getting into the affiliate industry?

Hi,
You might like to visit Laura’s blog and welcome her there instead…
And say Andrew Wee sent you!

I didn’t get the ER, although it would’ve been an interesting experience.

There’s another one coming up and you can check the information at the website.

There were quite a number of experienced marketers there like Chris Hooley, Wendy Piersall among others.

From what I know, it’s both an intensive learning experience from Shoemoney et al. as well as great networking with the other marketers.

And if you’re nice, I believe Laura might blog about it.

ER was awesome – I would LOVE to go again (Dallas, maybe?). It was the ultimate combination of networking and learning. I had never been to a conference before that, so I am totally spoiled now.

I have stayed in touch with many people from the event. I am sure it’s getting better and better, too.

I am going to make a note to write about that! :)
