I have another tip for travelers. I know that staying at the venue has a ton of benefits, but if they can’t get in there or just want to do something different I always do a search on local.yahoo.com for bed and breakfasts and sort them by reviews. I’ve saved money and stayed in unique rooms doing that and friends might be able to stay at the same place if they look early.

One tip about using the search engines B&Bs commonly use is that if you use a range of dates they may show sold out but if you search on individual days you can often get in provided you’re willing to change rooms. I love doing in themed B&Bs because then I get to experience more than one of their unique rooms.
