Hey Andrew,
I wrote a post about 3 simple tips to be a successfull affiliate marketer and i cannot agree with you more especially on the fact that affiliate strategy are basically test test test…I had and am still going thru various proceses and obstacles in getting my site up and running. Hi Cygnus,
i believe there are a number of affiliate markters who do use tactics outside of PPC, it’s just that they don’t talk openly about it, which would diminish it’s effectiveness and cut their compeitive advantage.

Each affiliate marketer has their own mix of strategies to drive traffic and convert leads, it’s a matter of what works for you.

A long time ago I wrote a series of short posts regarding looking outside of the typical channels of SEO, PPC, and e-mail. Affiliate marketers that know their market can make a lot of money on tv and radio advertising with the same level of geotargetting available in something like an adwords campaign. It’s a pity more don’t utilize all these channels as a part of their process.
